Gonçalo da Cunha Pires, Secretário de Estado Adjunto e da Justiça
Gonçalo da Cunha Pires tomou posse como Secretário de Estado Adjunto e da Justiça do XXV Governo Constitucional a 6 de junho de 2025.
Exerceu o cargo de Inspetor-Geral dos Serviços de Justiça entre março de 2017 e junho de 2025, tendo sido, anteriormente, Subinspetor-geral dos Serviços de Justiça em regime de comissão de serviço desde março de 2016.
Em abril de 2024, integrou o grupo de trabalho do Ministério da Justiça para definir a agenda anticorrupção do mandato do XXIV Governo Constitucional.
Foi membro do Conselho Consultivo do Mecanismo Nacional Anticorrupção (MENAC) e integrou o grupo de trabalho responsável pela Estratégia Nacional Anticorrupção 2020-2024.
Ingressou no Centro de Estudos Judiciários em 2004 e desempenhou funções em vários tribunais e comarcas, sendo juiz de direito de carreira.
Licenciou-se em Direito pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra. Pós-graduou-se em Direito Penal Económico e Europeu pelo Instituto de Direito Penal Económico e Europeu da mesma faculdade. Concluiu, em 2023, a parte letiva do mestrado em Prática Jurídica, na vertente de Direito e Relações Internacionais, na Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa.
É natural das Caldas da Rainha.

Gonçalo da Cunha Pires took office as Deputy Minister for Justice of the XXV Constitutional Government on June 6th, 2025.
Prior to that, Gonçalo held the position of Inspector General of Justice Services between March 2017 and June 2025, having previously been appointed Deputy Inspector General of Justice Services (March 2016).
Since April 2024, he was a member of the working group for the Ministry of Justice to pave the way to the anti-corruption agenda for the XXIV Constitutional Government.
He was a member of the Advisory Board of the National Anti-Corruption Mechanism (MENAC) and was part of the working group responsible for the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2020-2024. He joined the Center for Judicial Studies in 2004 and has worked in various courts and counties as a career judge.
He has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the Coimbra University where he and completed a postgraduate course in Economic and European Criminal Law at the Institute of Economic and European Criminal Law. In 2023, he completed the 1st part of his master’s degree in legal Practice, in the area of Law and International Relations, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
He was born in Caldas da Rainha.
